David Thibodeau (he/him) has a keen interest in how both sport and policy can have an effect and create a meaningful impact to make people’s lives better. David started Sports for Social Impact to explore sport policy more in-depth and provide insightful analysis to policy makers, and the sport sector. He is an advocate for better inclusion of LGBTQ+ people in sports, authoring a guide for coaches working with LGBTQ+ athletes. David is a swim coach and was a competitive swimmer for 10 years, and competed at Canada Games in 2013. David was a Young Sport Maker at Global Sports Week 2020 in Paris.
